Like dumb sheep, we tend to make choices that can hurt us rather than help us.

Our biggest mistake is thinking that real hope somehow comes from our own ability to figure things out.

Since the “why” questions can be so annoying to us, we might assume that God also gets annoyed if we ask Him “why” too often.

Here are some of my personal “Declarations of Dependence.” My hope is that you will join me in making similar promises.

Jesus was tempted to take a shortcut that would have been disastrous.

I get into trouble every time I look for shortcuts in my Christian life.

In spite of the fading value of our physical beauty, God still views beauty as being very important. I know this because of what the Bible says.

The good news is that a right response to authority actually lowers our stress.

How could any of us be good enough to spend eternity in the midst of the full blaze of God’s glory in heaven?

We may think that being totally pain-free would wonderful, but actually that would be a disaster.
